Primary Responsibilities:
•Travel to jobsites for long periods of time required.
•Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale heavy civil and industrial construction projects.
•Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, cost estimates, and resource allocation.
•Ensure alignment of project goals with company objectives and client expectations.
•Manage and mentor project teams, including project managers, coordinators, and site supervisors, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
•Promote collaboration and effective communication across all departments.
•Identify and address training and development needs within the project team.
•Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and executives, building and maintaining strong relationships.
•Ensure clear communication and alignment with clients’ goals, addressing concerns and managing expectations effectively.
•Facilitate regular project meetings and progress updates with clients and senior management.
•Identify and assess potential project risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
•Resolve project-related issues and conflicts promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and objectives.
•Continuously monitor and adapt project plans to address challenges and changing conditions.
•Ensure all project activities comply with quality standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
•Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor compliance and address any issues, potentially staying on site for project duration to ensure project meets client requirements and schedule.
•Champion a culture of safety, promoting adherence to safety protocols and continuous improvement initiatives.
•Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial performance aligns with company targets.
•Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to maximize profitability.
•Prepare and present detailed financial reports and forecasts to senior management weekly.
•Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and management of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
•Ensure all contractual obligations are met, and manage any changes or disputes effectively.
•Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.
Requirements:
o Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing heavy civil and industrial site work projects.
o Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
o Experience with project coordination and working closely with project managers, coordinators, engineers, subcontractors and clients.
o Familiarity with construction management methods.
o Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Strong documentation skills and processes.
