Summary JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager – Project Controls to lead cost management, scheduling, risk analysis, document control and performance reporting across major construction projects. This role serves as a strategic partner to both operations and finance teams, ensuring that projects are executed on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals.
Duties And Responsibilities
Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and oversight of project controls systems, including cost, submittals, procurement, contract documents, and risk management.
Lead planning and forecasting efforts supporting executive decision-making with accurate data and scenario modeling.
Oversee earned value analysis and performance measurement, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for corrective action.
Drive monthly reporting processes, including project health dashboards, financial forecasts, procurement status, and executive summaries.
Support executive and project team with budget development, cash flow projections, and schedule optimization from preconstruction through closeout.
Evaluate and track contract changes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of change orders and cost impacts.
Act as a liaison between project team, accounting, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
Mentor and develop junior project controls staff and support recruitment, training, and continuous improvement efforts within the team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project controls, cost engineering, or project management within the construction industry.
Proven success managing controls functions for large-scale or complex construction projects.
Advanced proficiency in project management software (Procore, CMIC, Primavera P6, MS Excel), cost tracking tools, and ERP systems.
Strong understanding of earned value management (EVM), forecasting, and financial modeling.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP, CCP (Certified Cost Professional), or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience in high-rise, multi-family, mixed-use, and hospitality.
Familiarity with accounting best practices.
Salary range is between $150,000 - $200,000 for this position. Qualifying candidates may be eligible for travel/relocation assistance. Benefits
