Sheet Metal Inc., a leading full service commercial mechanical contracting company, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team and lead our projects to success. We specialize in design-assist mechanical solutions, metal fabrication, HVAC, plumbing, balancing, and service and maintenance.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide leadership, guidance, support, and mentorship to our construction projects team. Serve as a resource for technical expertise and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle. Provide project management and estimating for mechanical construction projects. Your technical knowledge of mechanical systems, combined with your strong leadership skills, will be essential in driving the success of our projects and ensuring the satisfaction of our clients.
· Manage all aspects of assigned projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements.
· Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
· Report on project status, progress, issues, and recommendations for improvement. Keep accurate records of project documentation, correspondence, and change orders.
· Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the project team members, helping them develop their skills and grow in their roles. Serve as a resource for technical expertise and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.
· Oversee the performance of the project team, ensuring they meet project deadlines, milestones, and quality standards. Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed to drive improvement.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with team members, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and ensure their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
· Utilize technical knowledge of mechanical systems to review project plans, specifications, and drawings. Identify opportunities for innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and performance.
· Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, codes, and safety standards. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
· BA degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. (experience may be substituted)
· Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in commercial mechanical contracting, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion.
· Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) are preferred.
· Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and controls.
· Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
· Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
· Solid understanding of project management principles, practices, and tools.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and team members.
· Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
