About the Role - As our Senior Project Engineer, you will be a hands-on working engineer, responsible for leading engineering projects, maintaining client relationships, and providing mentorship to intermediate and junior staff members. Responsibilities
•Lead and manage projects from conception through completion, ensuring they meet scope, budget and timeline requirements.
•Conduct thorough reviews of engineering designs and deliverables to maintain high-quality standards.
•Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, enhancing the company’s reputation and securing future opportunities.
•Interface with clients to assist in defining project priorities and keeps them up to date with project risks and opportunities.
•Establish client-driven approaches to the project lifecycle, including project planning, initiation, resourcing, and execution to monitoring, control to completion.
•Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and intermediate team members, fostering professional development and growth.
•Advise on technical problems, engineering standards and specifications.
•Participate in technical bid preparation for projects.
•Review and approve technical documentation such as Engineering Reports, DBMs, PEPs, SOWs, and engineering drawing sets.
Qualifications
•Canadian registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) combined with a PMP designation.
•A member in good standing of APEGA and/or APEGS.
•13+ years of applicable and progressive project management and design experience in various stages of projects.
•Minimum 5 years of supervisory/mentorship experience.
•Prior experience of acting as a company representative in dealing with contractors and clients.
