Position Summary

The Refining Onsite Network & Fiber Senior Product Owner works closely with network administrators, architects, product managers, engineering & construction teams, hardware vendors and other stakeholders to drive best-in-class network infrastructure at MPC’s refining locations. Manages lifecycle of network infrastructure, including tooling, definition, design, planning, development, prototyping and testing. Acts as a liaison between IT and business leaders to develop a product roadmap of site fiber plants and network hardware. Applies design thinking techniques (e.g. user stories, prototyping) to define product features. Maintains the onsite network team’s backlog and directs work to ensure a robust, sustainable and supported environment across the enterprise. Will work with internal and external partners to select and customize technology products and/or services.

Product Lifecycle Management - The handling of a good as it moves through the typical stages of its product life: development and introduction, growth, maturity/stability, and decline.

User Experience (UX) – User Experience (UX) refers to the overall experience that a person has when interacting with a product, service, or system, especially in terms of how easy or pleasing it is to use.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience.
