Job Title: Senior Mining Engineer

Status: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Brossard, QC

Graymont is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer in Brossard, QC. Reporting to the Global Mine Engineering Lead, the Senior Mining Engineer, will focus on managing and optimizing mine planning and operations across multiple quarries in the Central and Eastern Regions. Key responsibilities include developing mine plans and pit designs, overseeing permit applications, conducting efficiency assessments, and ensuring compliance with reclamation and safety standards while supporting quarry automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

: A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in mine planning, preferably within open-pit operations. Proven ability to lead technical evaluations and support quarry operations through optimization and automation initiatives.

: Proven ability with project management from concept to completion (budgeting, documentation, support coordination, etc.). Understanding of mining equipment, geology, and mine safety procedures.

: Strong commitment to health and safety issues as they relate to the mining industry.

: Experience with mine planning and geological software (preferably Surpac), along with a strong understanding of computer-based mine planning principles and processes, is highly advantageous.

: Travel required up to 40% of time, mostly in the Central and Eastern Canada.

: Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required.
