Senior Mineral Processing Engineer

Our Mineral Process Engineering Team is an essential element in providing process technology solutions to our customers and works harmoniously with the Sales, Proposals, Engineering & Design, Project and Production teams.

Westpro requires a SENIOR MINERAL PROCESSING ENGINEER to join our team!

LOCATION: This position can be based out of our Vernon, BC office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Use your knowledge and experience to lead the team in providing customers with optimized and competitive process solutions.

· Review design criteria, mass balances and develop flow sheets for application solutions for proposals.

· Review equipment specifications on bid requests and discuss technical details with customers.

· Advise the sales and proposal teams with accurate process technology solutions based on the customers criteria.

· Ensure the processing outputs from the Engineering and Design Departments are meeting professional quality standards.

· Assist project and production teams with technical process issues relating to equipment construction, commissioning, operation, with sound engineering solutions.

· Travel to customer sites to assist with equipment commissioning startup, diagnose problems, provide solutions as required and prepare site reports.

· Attend industry trade shows and conference.

· Review Operating Manuals when required.

· Provide equipment technology training when required.

· Maintain innovation and skill sets in the area of mineral process technology.

· Comply with internal engineering standards.

· Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

· Engineering Degree in Mineral Processing.

· Professional Engineer Designation (P.Eng.) an asset

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

- 5+ years of onsite mineral processing experience.

- Extensive knowledge of mineral processing equipment and mineral process design.

- Accomplished Microsoft computer skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, highly motivated with the ability to be a strong leader.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $120,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
