As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will work within the Maintenance Engineering Group, which provides maintenance and technical support to Canada’s largest Oil Refinery. Your goal will be to work closely with the Reliability Engineering Group Leader to provide support to the Engineers in the team through technical mentoring, performing assessments on operating equipment, updating/developing internal standards, and supporting the development and review of Engineering Work Orders.

Your Responsibilities:
•Provide engineering technical support to the Maintenance Engineering Group.
•Support the Reliability Engineering Group Leader as required.
•Support the review and approval of EWO’s and MOC’s.
•Perform piping flexibility analysis.
•Perform ASME VIII code calculations.
•Support Fitness for Service Assessments in accordance with API 579.
•Develop a competency program and training matrix for the Maintenance Engineers.
•Develop/update internal instructions and standards.
•Develop Engineering Work Orders for high priority or large-scale scopes of work.
•Provide engineering technical support during annual Turnarounds.
•Participate in the Refinery On-Call rotation.

Your Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
•8+ years of relevant industry related experience.
•P.Eng. designation is a requirement.
•Experience providing engineering leadership.
•Experience with relevant ASME codes: Section VIII, B31.3, PCC1, PCC2, etc. is required.
•Experience with relevant API codes: 510, 570, 579, etc. is required.
•Experience with design, repair, and alteration of piping and/or pressure vessels is an asset.
