SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN TECHNOLOGIST
Nordic Minesteel Technologies (NMT) is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Technologist to join our engineering team. You'll play a key role in developing practical, cost-effective mechanical system designs, supporting both internal and external customers, and contributing to the successful delivery of custom-built systems.

Key Responsibilities
•Develop mechanical design solutions based on sound engineering practices and project requirements
•Create and revise 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks
•Specify appropriate components to meet design and performance specifications
•Conduct engineering calculations to support mechanical design work
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet all regulatory and customer requirements
•Support the assembly and commissioning of custom systems both in-house and at customer sites
•Provide ongoing technical support to shop floor teams and customers
•Maintain organized design documentation and follow company standards for file management
•Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures
•Adapt to changing project needs and take initiative to solve technical challenges
What We're Looking For
•Diploma in Mechnical Engineering Technology or equivalent
•Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design within a multidisciplinary environment
•Strong knowledge of mechanical components, fabrication, and manufacturing practices
•Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office Suite
•Solid understanding of detailing standards and documentation best practices
•Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
•Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team
•Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
•Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
•Willingness to travel occasionally for onsite commissioning
•Able to wear personal protective equipment as required
