Job Summary: The Senior Manager of Administration (SMA) will manage the operational and administrative functions of Inlailawatash, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across programs The SMA will manage Finance, IT, and Office Management. This role is integral to driving the company’s strategic priorities and fostering a culture of organizational excellence and collaboration. The SMA will work closely with Leadership to implement key initiatives and manage high-level operational tasks. Including but not limited to budget oversight, strategic planning, day-to-day operations, cross-functional team collaboration, and policy development.

Key Responsibilities:
•Oversee administrative services across the company, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and supporting the overall strategic objectives/initiatives.
•Manage and mentor staff in Finance, IT, and Office Management. Lead, support, and motivate the team to foster a culture of collaboration, high performance, and continuous improvement.
•Monitor performance metrics, assess operational effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement.
•Ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.
•Oversee the financial aspects of operations, including budgeting, expense management, and resource allocation.
•Prepare reports on financial performance, including budget analysis and operational expense tracking.
•Facilitate the organization of company insurance, business licenses, leases, and legal requirements.
•Promote professional development opportunities and encourage team members to achieve personal and organizational goals.
•Serve as a liaison between leadership and staff, ensuring alignment and effective communication across the organization.
•Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the company, incorporating feedback to improve operational processes and service delivery.
•Manage and execute special projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and a high standard of execution.
•Monitoring cash flow, managing cash reserves, and optimizing cash flow to meet operational needs and financial obligations.
•Implementing and maintaining internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
•Provide technical guidance and serve as a key resource for office systems, including records management, property maintenance, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
•4+ years of relevant financial experience, with a diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
•4+ years relevant experience managing administrative services within project based companies with direct reports.
•Strong knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks.
•Highly organized self-starter with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
•Strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple teams and driving organizational success.
•Demonstrated experience in managing budgets and financial reports, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Business Suite, and other relevant operational software.
•Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
•Knowledge and respect for Indigenous culture and socio-economic contexts; experience working with Indigenous communities or businesses is highly valued.
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and shifting demands.
•Experience with financial reporting and budget management.
•Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
•Proficiency with advanced data analysis and reporting tools.
•Familiarity with regulatory compliance and governance practices.
•Project management certification (PMP) or related qualification is a plus.
•Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
Working Conditions:
Physical
· Significant desk work with long periods of manual dexterity activities
· Occasional scanning and collating financial documents.
· Dynamic environment with multiple demands, changing priorities and constant interruptions.
· Highly sensitive financial, legal, confidential, and political issues.
· Engagement with other departments. Limited interaction with clients, contractors, levels of government and First Nations.

Travel: Although this position is primarily office based, there may be a portion of time spent traveling
Working Hours: 35-hour per week, overtime as required.
Expected Start Date: As soon as possible, willing to wait for the right candidate.
Compensation: $50-$60/h CAD; Plus, Extended Health Benefits & Pension Plan
