This position is in the System Planning & Engineering, Grid Contract Development & Management organization, which is responsible for managing the interconnection process (Generation, Wholesale Distribution Tariff load, and transmission interties) associated with Rule 21, WDAT, and CAISO/TOT projects from initial application through termination of the interconnection agreement.

In this job, you’ll lead the Wholesale Distribution Tariff (WDT) team that is responsible for developing and executing interconnection contracts to outline all parties’ terms, conditions, and obligations; managing interconnection contracts to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and compliance with tariff requirements; influencing process change efforts/policy and keeping up with tariff revisions; supporting data requests and regular data submittals to demonstrate compliance, and resolving any associated disputes. Additionally, you’ll partner with other organizations in the legal, regulatory, compliance, and operations areas to help ensure conformance with SOX, laws, and regulations; provide representation on teams addressing business needs for both internal and external stakeholders; perform people-related tasks such as safety, hiring, coaching, performance management and diversity, equity, and inclusion; and determine staffing and resource needs. Responsibilities

Orchestrates the design and execution of advanced delivery solutions for utility-scale generation projects, providing direction for strategic initiatives and technical considerations
Oversees the preparation, review and submission of interconnection agreements, upholding stringent compliance with relevant standards, laws, and regulations while mitigating risks associated with non-compliance
Contribute to the evaluation of potential project sites considering transmission factors, guiding strategic site selection, and ensuring the optimal balance between project feasibility and profitability
Provide support and guidance on interconnection-related proceedings and filings with FERC and the CPUC
Work collaboratively with internal and external organizations to support generator interconnections and SCE transmission project development efforts
Provide guidance to department on interconnection requests and processes, contract development, issue resolution, and quality customer service
Manages the workload, resources, schedules, budgets, risk and product quality for the group
A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.


Minimum Qualifications

Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
Leading grid interconnection activities and/or contract/agreements related to the power grid.


Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in accounting, business, engineering, or finance or related field.
Experience participating in internal and external audits, providing evidence, modifying controls, and presenting solutions to executive management.
Three or more years of experience working with agreements/contracts related to FERC and/or CPUC regulatory tariffs.


Additional Information

This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
