Department Overview
PG&E’s Land Operations department includes the Enterprise Safe Access Program (ESAP) and Access Roads Management (ARM) teams, both focused on rural road and utility access road management. This position will provide support to both the ESAP and ARM teams as the overall access roads program grows.
PG&E’s service area encompasses roughly 70,000 square miles and includes approximately 16,000 miles of rural utility access roads. The majority of these roads are unpaved and in challenging terrain. Maintaining the access road network is central for continued reliable operations of PG&E’s infrastructure. Both the ESAP and ARM teams provide access road support, including inventory management, conditions assessment, and road remediation. This position will provide engineering and project management support to both teams on a variety of rural road remediation projects.
Position Summary
The Land Management Civil Engineer job family provides oversight, technical standards, strategy, and implementation support for civil engineering related projects, complex problems and issues. The incumbent provides technical guidance for company and contract engineers on a variety of civil engineering projects, which could include geotechnical, hydrotechnical, construction management, and general civil support. The Land Management Civil Engineer may manage major cross-functional projects and initiatives or focus in depth on projects that require engineering solutions
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
A reasonable salary range is:
California Minimum: $100,000
California Maximum: $161,000
