Job Summary
Reporting to the Business Technology Manager the Senior Information Technology Business Analyst will be responsible for the following:
Essential Functions
• Interacting daily with user community, infrastructure team, developers, and managers to support the marketing applications, resolve issues, and recommend strategic application growth.
• Identifying and addressing operational, financial and technological risks within the business
• Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
• Acting as a liaison between business and IT groups
• Create or maintain necessary technical, user, and system documentation
• Develop and document business solutions for issues / enhancements. Drive business and functional requirements and work with developers to derive technical requirements.
• Serve as ETRM system expert providing support as required for business operations
• Demonstrate subject matter expertise to deliver practical solutions to the Natural Gas Trading business.
• Work with business to define key reporting requirements and to ensure consistency in reporting solutions
• QA; test system configuration and development changes and document test results
• Provide timely reporting of outstanding issues to the business and senior management
• Other duties as assigned.
Education/Certification/Experience
• BS degree in MIS/CIS/CSE or equivalent experience
• Requires a Minimum 8 years of experience in supporting trade capture and risk management systems in Financial or Energy industry sectors
• Experience with Natural Gas and other traded commodities
• ION/Openlink Endur platform experience and gMotion expertise required
• Proficient in database querying capabilities using SQL
• Experience with Project Management and methodologies to successfully implement technology solutions

Physical Requirements
• Able to effectively communicate orally and in writing, utilizing clear and concise language.
• Able to perceive and understand verbal communication in person, as well as over communication devices such as telephone or mobile phone.
• Able to visually perceive information on a personal computer monitor or laptop screen for extended periods of time.
• Capable of operating a personal computer, whether it is a desktop or laptop, for extended periods of time to create, compose, and review documents and spreadsheets.
• Competent in operating office equipment, including but not limited to telephones, mobile phones, photocopiers, scanners, and calculators.
• Able to reach, grasp, and manipulate items necessary to perform job tasks.
• Able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time as required by job responsibilities.
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and comprehending the English language.
• Able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Working Conditions
• Able to work in a fast-paced office environment with a high-volume workload, including the possibility of working beyond standard hours and on nights/weekends to meet deadlines.
• Able to work indoors, in an office environment, regardless of whether it is an open office, cubicle or private office.
• Able to travel occasionally, possibly overnight, and to attend meetings and conferences, when required.
