Senior HR Business Partner (FTT)

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid
Annual salary: $ 107,000.00 - 135,300.00
What you'll do
•Provides expert consulting and advisory support to managers on managing people and teams and creating a positive work
environment;
•As a member of the client’s management team, consult with leaders to understand and identify broad issues impacting
workplace effectiveness and plan and develop HR strategies and solutions to meet the unique business requirements of the
client area while maintaining consistency and alignment with overall Business Group and BC Hydro strategies and HR
programs;
•Implement and incorporate HR programs into the business such as employee engagement, career development, talent
management, and succession planning;
•Provide HR leadership in the development of business strategies and bring a human resources perspective to the client’s
business activities and decision-making
•Coach and influence all levels of managers on addressing a broad and diverse range of HR issues spanning unionized
and exempt staff, including performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, organizational design and
resourcing, employee and organizational development, talent management, succession planning, attraction and retention
strategies, job evaluation;
•Collaborate with senior leaders to drive change leadership, including planning, implementing, and sustaining change
within their client areas while ensuring alignment with other teams across the business group;
•Participates or leads in development, implementation and communication of company-wide HR projects, initiatives,
policies;
•Builds and maintains strongly influential working relationships with client areas, including senior leadership, to enable
effective service delivery with high trust, credibility and influence
•Builds and maintains effective partnerships with HR colleagues including subject matter experts and HR specialists;
•Builds and maintains good relationships with Union representatives and other external parties;
•Facilitates teamwork and constructive working relationships within client areas, including use of conflict resolution
techniques where appropriate.
What you bring
•A university degree or college diploma in a related Human Resource field with a minimum 8 years HR generalist
experience, including extensive experience in managing employee misconduct investigations, respectful workplace
investigations, human rights and accommodation issues, performance management, as well as supporting strategic
business changes and implementation of HR programs in both the unionized and exempt staff context;
•Ability to adapt to quickly shifting priorities and changing contexts;
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to develop comprehensive and strategic solutions to complex
cases;
•Strong interpersonal skills with knowledge and experience in consulting and facilitation, with the ability to assess
leadership team capabilities and influence leaders to align with strategic HR goals;
•Experience in administration of collective agreements and labour relations in a complex unionized environment;
•Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
•A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is an asset.

•This position is headquartered at our Dunsmuir office in Vancouver. Occasional travel to other sites may be required.
Subject to space availability, this position may also be located at our Edmonds office in Burnaby.
•This is a full time temporary (FTT) opportunity for approximately 12 months.
