We are looking to hire a Senior HMI Applications Engineer in Charlotte, NC
Develops application software to meet requirements of project contractual documents while adhering to Inframark’s Project Methodology. Senior HMI Application Engineers demonstrate expertise in setting up computer system hardware, networks, configuring SCADA application software, developing custom reports, and providing HMI training. Also advises HMI Applications Engineers of Inframark’s SCADA configuration methods and HMI development techniques.
Minimum 6+ years experience in HMI application configuration, preferably in the Water & Wastewater industry. HMI Application Engineers must have extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft operating systems, networks, and HMI configuration software (Wonderware or Intellution). Good communications skills and the ability to work well with other are essential.
Ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods in front of a computer monitor is common. Hearing within normal ranges is necessary for communication with the Project Team and customers. Adequate vision is needed for using a computer monitor. Lifting of computer servers, workstations, and peripherals is expected. Good manual dexterity for setting up computer equipment and attaching associated cables.
The job is performed both indoors at Inframark’s office or a remote office (if directed) and at the job-site. Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer monitor. This job includes the potential of working irregular hours with on-call availability to troubleshoot project startup and warranty problems.
Travel is required on a regular basis to start up, test, and demonstrate Inframark supplied SCADA monitoring and control systems.
