A Snapshot of Your Day
On a typical day, you start with a review of incoming issues from the operational gas turbine fleet. You provide the team with initial guidance on focus areas and are assigned to the most significant topics. Through short-term research and analysis, you propose recommendations and reach consensus with your colleagues and experts. Additionally, you stay in contact throughout the day with turbine design, manufacturing, project, and fleet managers to gather requests and provide feedback and advice on operational matters. You support RCA's, Task Forces and customer calls as they come in and are related to Turbine section hardware. To wrap up the day, you review assessments from other engineers and ensure that our quality and safety standards are met.
How You’ll Make an Impact
•Advising of operation support teams on condition-based lifetime predictions and derivation of decisions for Engineering assessments during Gas Turbine inspections aiming at improvement of engine reliability
•Support of projects with technical clarifications and root cause analysis, including direct customer communication on blade and vane-related topics and site visits on demand
•Delivery of condition-based risk assessments and mitigations for generic Blades & Vanes operation, focusing on materials behavior, manufacturing, and heat transfer considerations
•Provision of advice on blades and vanes installations, exchanges, and handling of requests for operations beyond established limits
•Driving of fleet feedback from Service Engineering to New Unit Engineering on Blades & Vanes performance versus design expectations to support fleet improvement
What You Bring
