JOB TITLE: Land Technician
JOB SUMMARY:
This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for managing financial planning, reporting and compliance as well as cost management and cash flow management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Planning and Analysis
•Develop and manage the annual budget, midterm plan and long-term plan (PDCA)
•Manage quarterly reforecasts
•Monitor actual financial performance against the budget, forecasts, and historical data
•Provide financial analysis to support decision-making processes, including cost control, revenue optimization, and profitability analysis
•Conduct sensitivity analysis for potential future scenarios, such as changes in natural gas prices and production volumes
Financial Reporting and Compliance
•Partner with Accounting Team to prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports for management
Cost management and control
•Track and analyze production costs, capital expenditures and operational expenses
•Identify cost-saving opportunities, inefficiencies, and areas of for improvement in operations
Cash Flow Management and Treasury
•Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure the company’s liquidity needs are met
•Handle financial transactions related to JV, financing agreements and debt management
Strategic Financial Decision-Making
•Provide financial analysis to support strategic decisions, including A&D and JVs
•Evaluate and recommend financial strategies for optimizing the Company’s ROIC
•Assist in determining the financial feasibility of new projects and exploration opportunities
Internal Controls and Risk Management
•Monitor internal controls to safeguard the company’s financial assets and data
•Identify and assess financial risks (e.g., hedging) and recommend strategies to mitigate
Liaison with External Stakeholders
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
•5+ years of financial accounting and oil & gas accounting experience
•Experience in Microsoft Office XP and Windows 7
•High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
•Interact effectively and tactfully with all levels of management
•Reliable with good work ethic
•Strong planning and project management skills
•Strong analytical skills
•Ability to work cooperatively with team members, leadership, board members, and others across various disciplines
•Ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines and assignments
EDUCATION
•Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required
