Reporting to the Exploration Manager the Senior Field technician is supervising the activities of the coreshack. The incumbent will assist the Supervisor with their daily operations within the Coreshack. The owner ensures the goals and objectives are achieved, with respect to the Agnico Eagle’s Culture, Health and Safety Code of Conduct and Environment.
- Preparing toolbox meetings
- Fill in day shift and nightshift work cards
- Supervise AEM techs and coreshack contractors
- Manage logistics for daily, weekly, and annual operations
- Place JDE orders for barges and aircraft
- Give training to workers and register them in TMS
- Prepare day and nightshift schedules at the beginning of the year for the workers
- Work with workers in Human Resources when preparing a development plan
- Creating Guidelines
- Helping and motivate each other, take ownership of other-tasks
- Lead them, motivate them, and give them the best possible support
- College degree in Geology or Mining or equivalent in experience
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in exploration
- Having the WSCC level 2 and a First-Aid certificate (provided on site)
- Willing to take all training and formations judged necessary
- Physical ability to manipulate charges of about 50 pounds regularly
- Knowledge of softwares DHLogger/Fusion are an asset
- Mining modules or Common core is an asset
- Possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude and leadership skills
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Schedule: 5 days of work at Timmins Exploration Office, followed by 2 days of rest.
