About the role:

Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance Excellence, the Senior Engineering Supervisor, Maintenance is responsible for all aspects of project management involved in delivering a portfolio of safe and environmentally responsible projects on time and on budget. The Senior Engineering Supervisor will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for site project delivery through project stages and gates from pre-scoping through to closeout.

To be successful, we are looking for someone with strong leadership, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with others to plan capital projects; experience working on large projects, leading multiple internal resources, external contractors and consultants is an asset.

In this role you will:

- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies

- Define and track project scope, goals, and scheduled deliverables, along with identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path, while providing insight to senior management on progress and risks

- Install and adapt project processes including stage gate, management of change, operational readiness, project charters, commercial processes, and contractor supervision are effectively applied at a level applicable to the specific project

- Aid in the planning, organizing, securing, and managing of resources for the effective and efficient completion of projects

- Coordinate and steward deliverables including permitting and engineering work products

- Lead, train, coach, and mentor a multidisciplinary team

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; P. Eng is required

- Minimum of ten years of work experience with a minimum of three years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including aspects of engineering, permitting, procurement, and construction; experience in a heavy industrial sector is required

- Eligible for, or working towards, registration with the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia

- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent

- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite®: Word, Outlook, and Excel
