BBA's Edmonton office has a focus in high voltage electrical engineering as well as wind, solar, and energy storage and is looking to continue to grow our team in those markets.
As an Electrical Engineer in the Edmonton office your role is to provide substation engineering capabilities to support the various wind, solar and energy storage projects. The role will be to provide technical direction with owner engineer mandates as well as develop detailed design projects. The role will leverage expertise, knowledge of the industry, client relationships, and engineering experience to continue grow BBA's market share.

- Develop project scope and equipment specifications.
- Review other project engineering deliverables and provide technical reviews to advise BBA clients
- Day to day execution of technical and strategic mandates based on areas of expertise and in coordination with BBA's internal disciplines located across Canada
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders in the renewable energy and electricity sector across Canada and the U.S.
- Review bid opportunities and provide estimates and proposals
- Support proposal preparation through creative thinking and alternative approaches.

- Engineering degree from a recognised university and registered as a Professional Engineer in Canada with electrical discipline; or a suitable combination of qualification(s) in a relevant discipline and applicable experience
- At least 10+ years of relevant power sector/electricity industry experience including a minimum of 2 years of wind, solar and/or battery energy project development, project execution and/or operations experience- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Strong and demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Able to travel to domestic (within Canada), the USA, and international destinations for site visits and/or assignments.
