Summary

The Senior Designer (Protection & Control/SCADA) is responsible for the design of high-voltage substation projects in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for the accuracy, quality and constructability of designs, calculations and estimates for utility projects of all sizes. Effective collaboration and communication with multiple internal and external stakeholders are required to progress designs through all project stages. The Senior Protection & Control/SCADA Designer contributes to substation bid proposals, estimates and material calculations and is responsible for the accuracy of quoted work. They will also be responsible for the handover of high-quality design packages to the customer or project team, on schedule, and are responsible for resolving design-related issues and field-level questions while projects are underway. They will work closely with project management to ensure all design/build projects are profitable and delivered on time.
