Company Overview:

We are a rapidly expanding medical device company seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Cost Accountant. In this role, you will conduct advanced cost accounting analyses, comparing estimated costs with actual expenditures, and generate detailed budget reports across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Gather and organize data related to company expenses and costs across departments.
* Develop and refine processes for tracking and recording cost data.
* Monitor and analyze fixed costs such as rent, insurance, and salaries to ensure accurate reporting.
* Forecast and track variable costs including raw materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
* Investigate discrepancies between actual and projected costs, providing recommendations for improvements.
* Prepare detailed budget reports for management and other departments.
* Perform cost analysis to assess the company’s profitability and suggest strategies for improvement.
* Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and assist with process improvements.
* Collaborate with Marketing and Accounting teams to provide accurate product costing information.
* Take on additional tasks and projects as required.

Qualifications:

* A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* At least 3 years of hands-on experience in cost accounting.
* Strong communicator, both in writing and verbally.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with accounting software.
* Knowledgeable in accounting best practices and GAAP.
* Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
* Organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
* Able to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
* Comfortable working on a computer for long periods.
* Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
