Summary of Responsibilities
To provide and enhance Urenco’s project delivery capabilities across a global footprint stretching over four operational sites and a number of business activities. Embedded within Design Authority the Contract Management Senior Project Assurance Specialist provides excellence in the delivery of capital projects with an emphasis on the management of contracts, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
The position concentrates on Urenco’s ability to manage suppliers through our contracts, but not exclusively. The purpose of this role is to independently assess contractor performance with the intent to improve the project’s ability for success. Knowledge of the full project lifecycle from project set up / initiation, through to project delivery stages and closure is a must.
- 10+ years’ experience being fully accountable and actively leading EPC projects (or in an owner role) as a Project Manager, Contract Manager, Project Controls Lead, or Project Engineer.
- Bachelor’s degree
OR
- 20+ years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree- Master’s degree
- International Contract oversight/knowledge
- PMP Certification
- Work Location: Urenco USA, Eunice, NM
- Emergency Response requirements are negotiable
- Work Schedule: Professional work schedule with minimal night/weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed
- Travel Required: 20% of the time or more as required
- Security Clearance Requirement: Controlled Access Area (CAA) Access and an L or Q level security clearance is required
- Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.
- Providing oversight, and guidance for projects to come in on cost and schedule. Projects likely to range from $10M to $575M USD.
- Provides subject matter expert consulting and advice across Urenco Group’s project portfolio.
- May be assigned to multiple major projects, or a number of major and smaller projects of considerable strategic significance.
- Advise, consult, and provide feedback in the evolvement of the Group’s Project Delivery Strategy, aligned to deliver against the Group’s objectives and strategy across its capex portfolio
- Overall responsibility for the delivery of Assurance Review outputs to assess project quality including, safety, scope, cost, schedule and Business benefits objectives. Communicate strategy, objectives and also assuring the organizational strategy and business benefits are being achieved.
- Reduce project risk related to contracted work; validate supplier and Urenco adherence to agreed contract, assess supplier performance vs reporting, review and challenge project sourcing strategy and contract delivery strategy, assess Urenco’s contract management administration

Compensation starting at: $145,308 - $181,635 / year and up dependent on candidate.
