What You'll Do
As a Senior Project Engineer, you’ll be a key technical and administrative resource — independently managing documentation processes, supporting client communications, and collaborating closely with Project Managers and Superintendents. You’ll go beyond the basics to ensure seamless project coordination, while modeling leadership and mentorship for junior engineers.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Project Documentation & Coordination
•Own Documentation Processes: Lead RFIs, submittals, job setup, and change management workflows from start to finish with professionalism and accuracy.
•Support Project Managers Strategically: Assist in buyouts, cost tracking, scope reviews, and proposal evaluations.
•Drive Subcontractor Coordination: Track bids, manage proposals, and proactively identify scope gaps or risks.
•Interface with Clients and Consultants: Communicate with confidence and clarity, representing Turelk with integrity.
•Mentor Junior Engineers: Provide guidance and support to newer team members, reinforcing standards and best practices.
•Stay Ahead of Issues: Demonstrate strong situational awareness and problem-solving to keep projects moving smoothly.
Essentials for Success
Experience:
•2–5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or equivalent in commercial construction required
•Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
Skills & Strengths:
•Strong understanding of construction sequencing, documents, and risk identification
•Proficient with project management platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, and BuildingConnected
•Confident communication, decision-making, and leadership skills
•Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and provide proactive solutions
•OSHA 10 and/or 30 certification preferred
Physical Requirements:
•May involve sitting/standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs., and visiting job sites with uneven surfaces or ladders
