Position Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven
Senior Business Development Managerto lead growth initiatives through
Utility Energy Service Contracts (UESCs)across the Southeast region. This role will focus on leveraging our established relationships with military installations—particularly those where we have successfully executed
MHPI projects—to develop and secure new energy service opportunities in partnership with regional utilities.
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue UESC opportunities with regional utilities and military bases.
- Build on existing MHPI project relationships to expand our footprint in energy services.
- Develop and execute regional growth strategies aligned with federal energy mandates and sustainability goals.
- Cultivate relationships with utility providers, base energy managers, contracting officers, and other key stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for UESC-related business development efforts in the Southeast.
- Lead the development of proposals and contract negotiations in coordination with internal teams and utility partners.
- Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations and utility contracting protocols.
- Work closely with engineering, legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure successful project scoping and delivery.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to inform product and service offerings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in business development, preferably in energy services, federal contracting, or utility partnerships.
- Proven success in securing and managing UESCs or similar federal energy contracts.
- Strong understanding of MHPI, DoD energy policy, and federal procurement processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel regionally up to 40%.
- Prior engagement with military installations in the Southeast.
- Experience working with investor-owned utilities or public power entities.
- Familiarity with ESPC, PPA, and other federal energy contracting mechanisms.
Compensation
Salary Range: $175,000-$195,000
