We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oil & Gas Automation Specialist to join our team in the Houston, Texas, Baytown area. This role is a long-term extended shift or potential relocation opportunity and requires expertise in automation systems & control strategies within the oil and gas industry.

What you will be Doing:
•PLC/HMI/Scada Standards development and testing.
•Building PLC Code standards, taking into account various control strategies and processes from facilities located around the US.
•Create technical documentation detailing the standards built, and how to use/implement them.
•Training technical teams on how to use the new standards.
•Integrated testing with project teams in simulated environments (labs).
•Field implementation of new standard code with technical teams.
•FAT, commissioning, and field service.
•Creation of technical documentation (control narratives, test procedures, user manuals, installation/ commissioning manuals, etc.).
•Provide support to project managers with a solid understanding of project execution procedures and functions such as scheduling, budget development and maintenance and scope tracking.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
•10+ years PLC/HMI design and programming experience; and 10+ years in the oil & gas industry.
•PLC programming experience with one or more of the following vendor systems: Rockwell Allen Bradley, GE/Emerson, Schneider Modicon, IDEC, etc.
•Specific Experience with GE/Emerson PAC ME will be an asset
•HMI programming experience with one or more of the following vendor systems: Wonderware Intouch, Rockwell Factory Talk SE, GE/Emerson QuickPanel+
•Specific Experience with GE/Emerson QuickPanel+ will be an asset
•Experience with on-site commissioning and start-up.
•Understanding of industrial environments, engineering, and production processes.
•PLC/HMI troubleshooting and debugging experience.
•Excellent english, written and verbal communication skills.
•Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean abstract.
•Ability to travel and work away from home.
•Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills
•Quick learner; able to adapt to new technologies rapidly.
•A structured approach to problem solving and project execution with the ability to plan, prioritize, and work under pressure to meet expectations and deadlines.
