In this influential role, you will advise on legal matters that directly impact company operations and policy, collaborating with senior leaders and officers across APS. You are responsible for:
•Providing legal counsel on a wide range of regulatory, commercial, and environmental matters impacting Palo Verde and other APS operations.
•Advising on contracts, regulatory filings, environmental compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
•Leading and managing complex legal projects, often coordinating with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
•Interpreting and applying legal frameworks to support strategic decisions and operational planning.
•Engaging with regulatory agencies, preparing responses to inquiries, and ensuring compliance with federal and state energy laws.
•Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts and other legal documents to support commercial operatio
ns.

•Advised energy sector clients on regulatory, environmental, or commercial legal matters, preferably in nuclear or utility environments.
•Represented companies in interactions with federal and state regulatory agencies (e.g., NRC, EPA, ACC).
•Worked independently on high-impact legal matters and presented guidance to executive leadership.
•Demonstrated ability to translate legal complexity into actionable advice for business and operational teams.
•Maintained excellent writing, negotiation, and communication skills in high-stakes situations.
