We're looking for a talented and passionate Senior Accountant to join our team. This position will be responsible for supporting various aspects of the monthly close and reporting of our financial results, reporting to our Controller. They will assist in implementing process improvements to help our growing team streamline and enhance efficiencies, promote the analysis and communication of results, and provide proactive support to business partners. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who collaborates well with team members, with responsibility for general accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Banking, and General Ledger. This will be a hybrid/in-office role in Eagle, Idaho.
- Prepare daily banking entries and accounts receivable from Customers and Vendors
- Support the development of process documentation that will help inform and drive the implementation of our financial management processes
- Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options for building and month-end close process procedures
- Document financial transactions by entering account information
- Summarize current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports for month-end close
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents to ensure internal control policies and procedures are correctly followed
- Maintain accounting controls by developing and recommending policies and procedures - and financial security by following internal controls
- Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements; verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling all relevant transactions as required
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status; producing error-free accounting reports and present results
- Prepare financial statements for month-end and input to budget production process according to schedule – as well as adhoc financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Providing support and coverage for Payroll processing as required
- 3-5 years accounting experience; ideally in public accounting, and/or a scaling start-up organization
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required – CPA preferred, with solid understanding of GAAP
- Proficient in financial management software platforms and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work within a quickly evolving organization; managing multiple, complex and confidential priorities, responding effectively to change.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
