Senior Account Manager
Job Description: Establishes relationships with potential new customers and enhances relationships with current customers to rent and sell scaffolding, fencing, edge protection, and other products and services offered by the company.
Responsibilities
•Generate sales leads in an assigned territory by calling on potential new customers to determine their requirements. Rent and sell scaffolding, fencing, edge protection products/services, consistent with company revenue and profitability goals
•Establish relationships with current customers assigned to determine requirements. Rent and sell scaffolding, fencing, edge protection products/services consistent with company revenue and profitability goals.
•Examine customer bids and specifications and prepare proposals that fulfill customer requirements for the rental or sale and erection and dismantle of scaffolding, fencing, edge protection and other products. Coordinate required engineering services relating to proposals. Perform duties related to proposal preparation, such as reviewing blueprints, performing estimating, and walking job sites
•Present completed proposals to customers in a professional manner and respond to customer questions and/or objections to secure the contract. Negotiate terms of the contract within the guidelines established by the company
•Coordinate the delivery and/or erection and dismantle of fencing, edge protection systems and other products consistent with customer requirements and company guidelines
•Provide leadership and assist in the supervision and direction of job site work crews to fulfill customer requirements within company guidelines, including safety requirements. Oversee job requirements with construction job site management and company personnel to ensure the satisfaction of customer requirements
•Review billing activities to ensure that customers are invoiced in an accurate and timely manner for all sales and/or rental of scaffolding, fencing, edge protection systems and related services. Follow up with past-due accounts to secure payment for contracted products or services, including lien releases, in a manner that ensures payment but maintains the business relationship with the customer
•Maintain and provide documentation of sales activities and related expenses. This includes periodic territory reviews when requested by management, including but not limited to, all customer and prospect sales activity in your territory, forecasting potential contract revenue, frequency of contact with customers/prospects, and any assistance required in securing specific contracts
•Provide regular forecasts of expected new business and expected return of equipment from existing jobs
•Maintain and report competitor’s sales activity and pricing in your territory
•Attend and complete any training necessary to understand the company’s products and their use and any required safety courses
•Maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle safely while carefully observing all traffic rules and regulations
•Practice excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, company employees, and customer employees at job sites and give sales presentations to secure contracts within the company’s pricing and terms and conditions guidelines
•Process complex time-sensitive data and information from multiple sources, make decisions based on this data and effectively communicate the related required actions to customers and company personnel.
Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Construction, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
● 2-3 years of experience in sales support, customer service, or related roles preferred.
•Candidates must possess prior experience in scaffolding, heavy equipment, and working in construction environments.
● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-centric attitude.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, familiarity with Salesforce CRM software a plus.
● Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
● Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
