This position is responsible for providing security support to Centrus Energy Corp. (Centrus) and American Centrifuge Operation, LLC (ACO). Under general supervision, providing technical support to security operations in compliance with security programs, policies, and requirements. This position will be assigned to Locksmith responsibilities, to include supporting all Centrus corporate sites. The duties for this position require a high level of organization of documentation.
- Conduct monthly, semi-annual, annual inventory in support of the lock and key program.
- Building of locks, cores, and keys.
- Support the Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) Program by building, marking and providing high control safety locks, keys and cores to meet requirements and working closely with the site Safety.
- Provide administrative support, such as maintenance of records, documentation and data entry.
- Maintain regulatory requirements for all security containers, security storage areas, track movements of security containers, and complete required repairs.
- Individual must complete the following Training programs:
- Complete Professional Locksmithing General Class
- Complete Container Identification Course
- Complete Installation & Operation KABA X-09 and X-10 Training Course
- General Services Administration (GSA) Approved Container and Vault Inspection Course
- May perform self-assessments/audits of related process/procedures.
- May assist in conducting security risk assessments or other security related analysis.
- Assist with execution of Centrus and ACO policies and procedures.
- Assist with performing security inspections of doors with security features to ensure continued operability and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Provide recommendations, answer questions, and provide guidance to internal and external personnel concerning security processes and requirements.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service when communicating with personnel.
- Must be technically and mechanically inclined.
- Assist with research, development, implementation, and maintenance of procedures and associated materials.
- Update changes when required to site registry sheets and database.
- Tracks security commitment related issues and corrective actions utilizing a web-based corrective actions tracking system.
- Must be able to respond to emergency call-in service repairs, as needed.
- This position must obtain and maintain a “Q” clearance
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- This position has no high-level authority or impact.
- This position does provide advice and information to peers, supervisors, and managers for careful consideration when making a decision.
- Follow standard practices and procedures to determine appropriate actions.
- Associate’s degree in Security, Engineering, or Physical Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient computer operating skills, including working knowledge of database operations, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe to process records and generate reports.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Ability to prepare concise technical documents.
- Excellent written record keeping skills.
- Experience with NRC/DOE or other regulating agency procedures, practices, policies and requirements pertaining to lock and key programs.
- Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with NRC and/or DOE personnel
