Qualifying candidate should have 3-5 years’ experience in a command center, control center, operations center or emergency dispatch environment, prior law enforcement, military, or other relevant security experience. Strong personal computing skills are a must, to include Microsoft Office related programs, familiarity with Internet, databases, and networks. Good organizational skills, with an emphasis on multi-tasking and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor and sound judgment under stressful situations while clearly and accurately communicating incident specific details in both written and verbal formats.
The position requires shift work, rotating shifts (shifts change every 6 months).
Under limited supervision, employees in this role provide communications, command, and control functions for the 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) including access control, alarm monitoring, and assessment, dispatch and communications, emergency response, and critical incident management. This position directs and staffs an assigned team of security personnel to carry out daily department operations. In this role, the employee executes company or business unit specific emergency notification system (ENS) scenarios and reviews department processes and procedures. In the absence of the SOC Manager, this position may supervise and direct shift activities and oversee shift scheduling.
