Co-op positions at the BWL are part-time (maximum of 25 hours per week) paid positions, providing college students with practical, on the job experience. Title: BWL Co-op (Security) Job Type: Part-Time Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour. Position Summary
This position is responsible to assist BWL Security in keeping all BWL assets secure. The main function will be in the Security Operations Center (SOC) serving as a security dispatcher, monitoring security video, and assisting with access controls.
Essential Functions
- Dispatching Security guards as needed.
- Monitoring security video monitors for security breaches or concerns.
- Answering intercom requests for gate access.
- Assist with Emergency Management reporting and documentation as requested.
- Answering the main BWL Security phone lines and directing appropriate responses.
- Abide by Student Co-op Program Guidelines to ensure eligibility for program is maintained.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA to enter the program.
- Achieve 24 credit hours per year.
- Follow all BWL policies, procedures, and rules governing professional behavior as outlined in the BWL Employee Handbook.
- Follow BWL Co-op guidelines.
- Arrive to work at the time specified by the supervisor or manager.
- Work the hours agreed to by the Co-op student and their supervisor or manager.
- Notify their supervisor or manager if they are unable to attend work as scheduled.
- Respect the confidentiality of the workplace, clients, and employees.
- Take the initiative and volunteer for different tasks, work, or projects.
- Discuss any problems with their supervisor, manager and/or the Co-op Coordinator.
- Interest in law enforcement, security, or emergency management
