The Terminal Operator is responsible for railcar and truck loading and unloading operations along with testing and sampling for products and tanks. Safety must be a major focus for this position. Attending trainings and maintaining safety certifications to meet state and federal requirements will be required.
- Truck loading and unloading operations.
- Railcar offloading operations.
- Product sampling and testing.
- Tank gauging and sampling.
- Maintain existing certifications and attend new training to meet company, state and federal requirements.
- Attend monthly safety meetings and drills as required.
- Ability to prioritize work schedule and ability to function with minimum supervision.
- Accept supervision requirements when working on weekends and holidays.
- Accountability for individual job responsibilities as assigned.
- Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have good problem solving skills.
- Ability to understand documented processes, procedures and company policies.
- Must be conscientious about quality, timeliness and accuracy of work.
- Interpersonal communication skills are required in order to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Minimum 1-3 years of work related experience as a terminal operator preferred.
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to perform lifting of 75 pounds and bending.
- Experience and knowledge of liquid bulk terminal operations.
- Mechanical abilities needed.
- Must be dependable with excellent attendance record, and be willing to work different shift schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Must work well in team environment.
- Strong customer focus.
- Strong hand/eye coordination necessary to operate equipment.
- Able to work in all weather conditions.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
