ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To oversee the safety of the swimmers and the integrity of the pool and its related equipment in accordance with the requirements of the State of Delaware. Maintain pool and surrounding facilities in neat and clean condition.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Current Red Cross Certification - Advanced Lifesaving, First Aid and CPR.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: A variety of physical activities are required including, but not limited to, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling to operate pool maintenance equipment. Speaking is necessary to effectively communicate swimming safety to pool occupants. Visual acuity is required for identifying chemical imbalances in the pool water. The level of learning ability required is limited to simple tasks which are clear-cut and directly related.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Requires ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT: Outside work - requires exposure to high temperatures.
