Position Title: Seasonal - Laborer (General Maintenance) (DGC) OPEN UNTIL FILLED Department/Location: Maintenance/Beulah, ND Company: Dakota Gasification Company

Position Purpose:

This is a temporary position that assists with the general maintenance duties of painting, grounds keeping such as mowing lawn and cutting weeds, building clean-up; maintenance and other duties, as assigned.

Typical Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:

Requires continuous walking; frequent standing, stooping, bending, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and reaching above and below shoulder level; and occasional sitting, crawling, lifting 50 pounds from knee to shoulder high, and pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds. Requires continuous use of tools and occasional turning of valves and use of foot controls. Over 50% of the incumbent’s shift is spent outdoors. Occasionally requires working at heights from 10 to 50 feet and in high climbing areas on grating, ladders, scaffolding, man baskets and other areas, which requires the use of safety equipment, including a harness, in accordance with ANSI Z359 standards. Continuously exposed to noise; frequently exposed to dirt, dust, fumes, chemicals, and extreme heat and cold; and occasionally exposed to vibration, and poor ventilation. Incumbents are required to wear dust masks, and respirators when necessary. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. Requires good finger dexterity, color vision and hearing, and the ability to speak. Must have the ability to perform close work, communicate effectively with others, present information in a clear, concise manner and follow verbal and written instructions.

Wage: $18 per hour
