In this job, you’ll be responsible for scheduling vegetation management programs and managing contractor performance. The position typically oversees 10 individual contributors, including Advisors and Sr. Specialists, and manages a contract workforce comprising of approximately 22 vendors. You will have a broad oversight of scheduling all Vegetation Management program work and managing events. This position frequently requires interfacing with other functions within the organization, such as Strategy, Business Readiness, and Operations Management. Comprehensive knowledge of the scheduling function is essential, along with a broad understanding of VM programs and operational procedures. Responsibilities

Manages the implementation of vegetation management program requirements and delivers tangible reliability and cost saving results for the company, managing and tracking budget utilization to ensure efficient and effective use of resources and budgets
Manages the development, maintenance, and documentation of model input data and assumptions to ensure consistent use of data
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support the development of policies and guidelines that enable broader strategies and objectives
Identifies opportunities for improved analyses of vegetation management data while prioritizing, developing and implementing improvements, including automated tools for monitoring and reporting operations data
Manages employee performance and establishes performance expectations and goals aligned with company objectives, policies and procedures
Provides leadership to teams responsible for the planning, scheduling, and closing of Vegetation Management programs. Oversees contractor performance to ensure budget, schedule and quality performance objectives are met
Contributes and influences the appropriate management of a $500M budget through oversight of contractor performance in the areas of safety, compliance, customer satisfaction, financial, quality improvement, and schedule adherence.
Develops and manages resource strategy to ensure both short-term and long-term success of the program
Manage contractor performance and develops and implements action plans/corrective action to ensure goals/targets are achieved
Leads the development of business requirements, testing and implementation of new technologies accordingly to the vegetation management program
A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity


Minimum Qualifications

Five or more years combined experience performing or supervising energy delivery function


Preferred Qualifications

Five or more years of experience in scheduling and resource balancing within the utilities sector
Experience in employee and contractor management
Experience with Project management techniques used to make projections, identify gaps, mitigate obstacles, and review and update the scope for interrelated programs.


Additional Information

This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
