Scale Operator - Scrap Metal

GLE Scrap Metal is seeking an EXPERIENCED Scale Operator with a strong knowledge of scrap metal. He or she will be purchasing scrap metal from our customers and industrial accounts in a VERY fast paced non-ferrous scrap yard.

Responsibilities:

- Identifying metal type and quality.

- Imputing metal purchases into our propriety computer system.

- Ensuring the timely service of all customers.

- Creating a working rapport with all customers.

- Sorting metal once purchased and keeping buying area clean and well organized.

Qualifications:

- Great computer skills

- Good with numbers

- Proven experience as a scale operator.

- Strong communication skills.

- Strong organizational skills.

- Must be able to pick up 50 lbs.

- Total team player.

- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

- Strong work ethic and be able to make decisions.

Must be able to work Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday.

Must be able to pass a background check / drug test /physical.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
