Scale House Customer Service

PNW Metal Recycling is looking for an experienced full time Scale Customer Service representative for our location in Prosser.

Summary Description:

The Scale House Customer Service Rep is responsible for coordinating all functions that run through the scale house and for serving as point of contact to customers, vendors, staff, job applicants and other business associates.

Essential Functions:

- Greet all visitors when they arrive at the facility; answer questions in person and via phone providing information about our services and prices, directs callers to appropriate person

- Weigh load when customers enter and leave the facility; enter detailed and accurate customer information into software system

- Coordinate with Dispatch and communicate with other departments/staff to maintain steady stream of loads to/from other yards

- Direct the flow of traffic in and out of the yard as needed

- Coordinate shipping of materials out of the facility

- Complete all required paperwork for all transactions in a timely manner, ensuring strict compliance with company and regulatory standards

- Office administration duties may include but not be limited to: managing invoices and ordering supplies

- Travel to other PNW locations as needed for training or other purposes

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED

- 1 year of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in the scrap metal or similar industry

- 2 years of experience performing accounting type functions with solid mathematical aptitude

- Must be able to read and interpret rules and regulations and follow processes and procedures

- Must be able to understand and reconcile discrepancies, have good problem-solving ability

- Attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with ability to speak and understand English; ability to speak and understand other languages (especially Spanish) is a plus

- Valid driver license with acceptable driving record
