POSITION CONCEPT
The SAP Enterprise Solution Architect (Architect) is a strategic role providing technical and functional expertise in the implementation of an SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution for Peoples Gas Systems. The Architect will combine deep understanding and experience of shaping SAP functional and technical solutions associated with maximizing the value of the physical assets of the natural gas division. The Architect will ensure optimal performance of the life cycle of the assets as they relate to construction, compliance, maintenance, and operations of utility related processes and assets.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct Supervision: Direct supervisory responsibility for assigned SAP Functional analysts; may also supervise contract resources.
Responsible for resource management, staff augmentation, and vendor relationships and ensures there is adequate support for all assigned applications for both day-to-day operations and on-call support.
May serve as a backup to the Manager.
Indirect Supervision: SAP Configuration, Development, Security, Basis.
Key Internal: Stakeholders of the SAP EAM Solution.
Key External: SAP, Consultants (System Integrators, Offshore Teams), Contractors, Customers, Vendors.Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent discipline. Preferred: At least one professional certification in specific job-related disciplines preferred in addition to the requirements above.
Direct Experience Required: Minimum of eight years of direct work experience performing the Duties & Responsibilities of this position or performing duties closely related to the Duties & Responsibilities of this position. Minimum of10 years of experience in SAP.
Experience in SAP EAM (Asset management, and Resource Management and long-term and short-cycle work scheduling).
Preferred: Strong demonstrable SAP Experience including full end-to-end project lifecycle in Gas or Electric utility implementations or SAP ERP (Finance, Supply Chain, HR/Payroll) experience highly desirable.
Experience with Mobile Field Automation
Supervisory Experience
