Pay range: $55,600 to $125,400 per year

About this position:
SAP Basis Administrator/Enterprise Systems Administrator is responsible for managing the technical infrastructure of SAP/Enterprise systems, ensuring their availability, performance, and security. Their key responsibilities are system administration, performance monitoring, user and security management, upgrades and patch management, backup and disaster recovery, and integration and support. This job requires expertise in application supported databases and operating system administration.

About this job:
•Execute administration functions for NorthWestern Energy's enterprise system environment
+ Manage SAP instances, system landscapes, and environments
+ Install, configure, and maintain SAP applications
+ Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, enhancement packs, kernel updates, and patch applications
+ Manage user roles, authorizations, and security policies to ensure compliance
+ Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize SAP applications, databases, and infrastructure
+ Administer SAP Transport Management System (TMS) and manage transports across system landscapes
+ Support SAP databases (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.), including installation, patching, and performance tuning
+ Coordination and management of SAP-related projects
+ Implement and maintain SAP backup and disaster recovery strategies
+ Collaborate with infrastructure teams for OS, network, and storage management
+ Provide support for SAP integration with third-party applications and middleware
+ Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolution
+ Maintain up-to-date documentation on system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
+ Automate administrative tasks using scripts or tools to improve efficiency
+ Research and recommend new technologies and best practices for SAP system improvements
+ Manage FTP application. Perform upgrades and patching of applications

•Must be able to demonstrate a good safety record
•Bachelor's degree from four-year accredited college with some related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
•Demonstrated ability to execute BASIS tasks including technical configurations, SAP software maintenance, system performance tuning, user management, and SAP database administration
•Experience with HANA preferred
•Strong technical understanding of SAP systems and security
•Experience with technical project management
•Strong understanding of Windows and Linux server operating systems
•Fundamental understanding of security requirements and architecture
•Fundamental understanding of the software development lifecycle is preferred
•Must be able to work in a team environment and adapt to changing responsibilities and priorities
•Must be able to continually learn and acquire new technical skills and knowledge
•Must have strong organizational skills
•Must have strong written and oral communication skills
