Sand Plant Operator 1

Location:

East Boulder - McLeod, MT

Schedule:

Rotating - 5x4x4x5 (13-hour shifts)

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

- Operates underground backfill plants.

- Operates high- pressure slurry pumping systems.

- Monitors the slurry silo filling. Co-ordinates intake and output from silos.

- Monitors the slurry intake and output to the Geho backfill pumps at the 6450 and 7200 sand plants as required.

- Draw density samples and record pertinent data related to back fill operations.

- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot breakdowns.

- Maintain operational records on a shift-by-shift basis.

- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time at the discretion of the company.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

- Stationary equipment operations & maintenance background

- Piping and valve installation/maintenance

- Monitor slurry silo filling and maintain both 6450 and 7200 sand plants

- Monitor and maintain sand pours

- Communication skills-written and verbal

- Perform Backfill Audits

- Technical and mechanical aptitude

- Authorized to handle explosives per the Safe Explosives Act and be familiar with their use

- Compliance with all company safety standards and policies

Preferred:

- Mobile equipment experience

- Previous sand plant experience
