Sales Representative, Strategic Partnerships

Ergon Inc. seeks a full-time Sales Representative, Strategic Partnerships, to join our ErgonArmor Sales and Marketing team. The Sales Representative, Strategic Partnerships, is responsible for acquiring new and servicing existing private label and custom manufacturing clients for 100% solids epoxy coatings, linings, adhesives, and sealants in the USA. The Sales Representative provides expert-level consultation to clients regarding product selection, application, and failure analysis with the support of technical service, manufacturing quality assurance, and analytical laboratory departments. They proactively maintain client relationships through regular communication to build our reputation and uncover unmet needs. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree with 8-15 years of relevant experience Preferred areas of study: communications, marketing, business, or engineering Coating sales experience NACE Level III Coating Inspector credentials Broad knowledge of the field of competition-suppliers, products, capabilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Keen sense of urgency to satisfy customers and overcome obstacles Ability to drive, fly, and travel overnight midweek, up to 60% Ability to handle customer inquiries promptly while traveling Key Performance Indicators: New account acquisition and retention. Prompt and reliable customer response. Efficient account management and onboarding. Effective interdepartmental communication. Strength and quality of client relationships. Success of product demonstrations and training events. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and maintain client relationships to drive sales and uncover unmet needs. Provide expert consultation on product selection, application techniques, and troubleshooting. Respond promptly and reliably to customer inquiries. Lead account onboarding, product demonstrations, and training events. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
