Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Sales Operations Coordinator to serve as a bridge between our sales and production team in an effort to ensure smooth execution of lead-to-fulfillment processes within the electric utility market. This includes everything from customer inquiry, quotation, order placement, order tracking, and customer management. This role is essential in ensuring smooth communication between departments, accurate order tracking, and efficient coordination of customer needs within manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
•Act as a central point of contact between the sales team, production planning, and logistics to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
•Maintain CRM and ERP systems with up-to-date customer and order information and coordinate any changes with relevant departments.
•Support the creation of quotes and sales orders for manufactured goods, ensuring pricing accuracy and lead time alignment.
•Assist with customer communications regarding order status, delivery schedules, and product availability.
•Prepare sales performance reports, forecasts, and operational dashboards to support leadership decision-making.
•Identify and implement process improvements to streamline order fulfillment and sales workflows.
Qualifications
Required:
•High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
•1–3 years of experience in sales support, operations coordination, or customer service within a manufacturing setting.
•Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities.
•Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments.
•Proficiency in Excel or other reporting tools for data analysis and visualization.
Preferred:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred. Experience in related field may substitute.
•Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lead times, and production planning.
•Experience working with make-to-order or custom manufacturing workflows.
•Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, NetSuite) and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
•Proven ability to collaborate across offsite colleagues to achieve shared goals.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
•This is a full-time salaried exempt position. Expected 40/hr work week.
•Limited regional travel to tradeshows expected. <20%
Physical Demands:
•Ability to sit for extended periods.
•Occasional lifting of no more than 40 pounds.
•Use of a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment
Compensation & Benefits:
•Starting salary - $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience
