As an Employee-owned Company, we are offering a unique opportunity for a dynamic individual who can lead and inspire the sales team. We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales manager for our 240+ employee manufacturing business located in Wrentham, MA.
The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of Technical Sales experience, preferably in the Gear and Power Transmission Industries. Compensation will be based on the level of experience.
The primary role of the Sales Manager will be to actively seek profitable opportunities by cultivating new business development through travel, customer visits and industry events.
· Prepares new opportunities to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
· Maintain relationships with key clients, deliver presentations, negotiate and close deals.
· Assist client engineers with product design and material selection
· General understanding of Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
· Manage multiple projects / relationships from initial contact through design and product release
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with engineers and purchasing teams across multiple markets.
· Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a related field
· Experience in sales and business development in the Gear or Power Transmission Industries.
· Candidate should be located on the East Coast.
· Ability to travel up to 50% or as required.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, negotiate and close deals.
· Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong written communication skills, capable of producing reports and engaging effectively with other internal teams, management and customers.
