Job Summary:

The Sales Development Manager will oversee and lead the activities of new sales team members in the first 60-90 days of employment. This strategic position involves deploying onboarding programs that not only facilitate a smooth transition for new sales employees but also aim to boost retention and foster long-term engagement. This role leads a team of salespeople to help drive revenue, motivation to successfully handle leads, and set targets to hit or exceed revenue forecasts. Additionally, this role is key in ensuring the sales team is equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools to drive success across the sales cycle.


On Target Earnings (OTE): 120K


Duties/Responsibilities:

Deploys various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and ongoing feedback.
Stays current on sales training best practices and Move Concierge products and processes.
Assists in development of instructional materials and job aides.
Participates in interviewing and the selection of candidates.
Provides ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance reviews to ensure continuous development of the sales team, beyond the initial onboarding phase.
Motivates and encourages the sales team to ensure quotas are met.
Provides guidance and support to team members to develop their skills.
Manages an individual sales quota alongside team responsibilities, ensuring both personal and team sales goals are met.
Organizes and oversees the schedules and performance of assigned team.
Handles progressive discipline of employees in accordance with company policy.
Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Salesforce or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience preferred.


Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field.
At least three years of sales leadership experience required.


Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
