About the role:
The Safety, Quality, and Compliance (SQC) Coordinator will collect data on, analyze, and design improvements to work environments and procedures using the OBR safety and quality framework already in place. THE SQC Coordinator will assist in designing policies and procedures that help prevent harm to workers and property and inspects machines and air quality, designs safe workspaces, and creates policies for workers to follow that minimize job-related hazards.
Roles/Tasks of the Position:
•Perform incoming material inspections.
•Conduct visual and dimensional inspections on finished products.
•Monitor production and follow scheduled quality checks.
•Perform root cause analysis.
•Report and track deficiencies through Corrective and Preventive Action Reports.
•Segregate and control defective products and material.
•Monitor & schedule equipment/tool maintenance.
•Maintain and organize quality and production records.
•Meet with sales, design, and production teams to ensure necessary control points are identified and followed.
•Work with quality team to identify, create, and revise policies and procedures.
•Follow up with customers to address complaints.
•Monitor and maintain Quality Management System (QMS).
•Ensure compliance with OBR training requirements.
•Implement all current OBR safety, quality, and compliance programs in all the WTX sites.
•Implement new or updated internal safety and quality policies as needed.
•Responsible for site audit/self-inspection processes and Key Performance Indicators.
•Own the incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA) for all WTX sites.
•Manage the Permit to Work program including the creation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) with focus on issuing permits for high-risk activities.
•Develop Risk Assessments for onsite activities.
•Review and approve third-party supplier qualification protocols.
•Assist in implementing new worker safety rules and regulations to site personnel and management.
•Ensure that standards are tracked, recalibrated, stored, and managed in accordance with prescribed methods to maintain the integrity of standards.
•Perform required investigations for failed standards when necessary to assess the impact on data and processes.
•Help manage the OBR quality assurance and safety program that ensures all site activities are conducted in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
•Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment.
•Stays up to date on state and federal occupational safety regulations.
•Identifies health and safety hazards.
•Learn, understand, and enforce OBR safety procedures at WTX job sites.
•Maintain required safety documents/files.
•Monitor program for reporting and investigating “near miss” situations.
•Conduct safety audits/inspections of WTX work crews.
•Conduct internal safety inspections to identify potential risks and/or hazards.
•Work with the Safety Manager and leadership to identify trends and sustainable corrective actions.
•Participate in safety investigations and audits, as required by OBR Safety or Quality Manager.
•Assist in conducting and organizing on-site safety meetings.
•Serve as primary point of contact in the admin of risk and safety policies and procedures and programs’ safety needs and concern for WTX.
•Assist with executing the organization’s overall risks and safety strategy.
•Develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure that services meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery. This includes development of Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 documentation as appropriate.
•Evaluate/qualify vendors to confirm manufacturing/quality processes are acceptable.
•Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for in-house manufacturing and for field installation projects.
•Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and standards (OBR and/or customer).
•Assist with development of project specific quality documents, including Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
•Perform shop and site audits as determined necessary by OBR management or customer requirements.
•Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in related field of study or in lieu of a degree in safety or closely related field, candidate should obtain a Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) credential.
•A minimum of 1 year safety and quality experience
•Knowledge of Windows-based applications; must possess good written communication skills.
•Certification in CPR and First Aid
•Blood Borne Pathogens training.
•Working knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
Other Qualifications:
•Ability to read and understand shop drawings/prints.
•Ability to read and use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, and micrometers).
•Strong understanding of fabrication and welding processes.
•Demonstrate the ability to communicate details of safety procedures clearly to employees.

Prerequisites/Requirements:
•Negative 10-panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test.
•Valid Driver's License and Proof of U.S. Citizenship.

The pay range for this role is:
55,000 - 70,000 USD per year(West Texas, Houston)
