Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our safety protocols on construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing risks associated with construction activities. This role requires a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, EHS standards, and construction management practices.
Responsibilities
•Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
•Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on construction sites to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
•Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
•Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety management into all phases of construction projects.
•Maintain records of incidents, accidents, and near misses; analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
•Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns from employees and management.
•Stay current with industry’s best practices, changes in regulations (including NEC), and advancements in construction management software.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
•Proven experience in safety management within the construction industry.
•Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EHS regulations, compliance management practices, and workers' compensation processes.
•Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
•Proficiency in using construction management software for tracking safety metrics and compliance documentation.
•The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
•Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP or CHST) is a plus.
•Ability to speak English and Spanish
