Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our safety protocols on construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing risks associated with construction activities. This role requires a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, EHS standards, and construction management practices.

Responsibilities

•

Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

•

Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on construction sites to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.

•

Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

•

Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety management into all phases of construction projects.

•

Maintain records of incidents, accidents, and near misses; analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

•

Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns from employees and management.

•

Stay current with industry’s best practices, changes in regulations (including NEC), and advancements in construction management software.

Qualifications

•

Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.

•

Proven experience in safety management within the construction industry.

•

Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EHS regulations, compliance management practices, and workers' compensation processes.

•

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.

•

Proficiency in using construction management software for tracking safety metrics and compliance documentation.

•

The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

•

Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP or CHST) is a plus.

•

Ability to speak English and Spanish
