Safety Coordinator - Underground Coal

JENNMAR Services is seeking a safety-focused and experienced Underground Mine Safety Coordinator to support and ensure the safety of employees in the Wheeling, WV area.

Key Responsibilities:

- Stay current with federal and state mining safety regulations.

- Conduct safety talks daily to all shifts.

- Go underground with crews discussing hazard recognition and accident prevention.

- Ensure proper task training documentation is completed and filed.

- Assist with and verify accurate completion of risk assessments.

- Advise employees on ergonomic best practices and safe body mechanics.

- Conduct thorough accident investigations.

- Perform other safety-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements & Qualifications:

- MSHA Approved Underground Instructor certification (strongly preferred) or at least 3 years of experience in underground mining operations.

- Certified miner in WV (required).

- Excellent communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality.

- Strong customer service mindset.
