Rubber Operator II

Job Purpose/Summary:
To operate molding machines, producing rubber panels within specifications.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
•
Reviews work order and checks that raw materials and inserts are correct for the job.
•
Transfers raw material inventory in ERP system.
•
Places insert into molding machine and starts cycle of machine. Runs first piece, gets approval and begins run operations.
•
Works between multiple molding machines simultaneously.
•
Physically removes panel from machine and loads machine with next insert.
•
Trims off flash and finishes part to quality standards. Assure proper labeling of all required.
•
Scans finished panel barcodes into computer.
•
Must inspect die for tool damage before returning to tool room.
•
Monitors and records all scrap product, places in scrap cart.
•
Maintains 5s standards and safety practices in work area.
•
Performs related duties as required.
Necessary Abilities/Skills/Certifications:
•
Read blueprints
•
Calculate measurements
•
Use shop tools
Minimum Education and Work Experience Required:
•
High school or GED diploma
•
1-2 years work experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in injection molding
3rd Shift - 11PM to 7AM
