Focused on business and operations in the Oil & Gas industry, as part of the RPA Centre of Excellence team (COE), the Business Analyst supports the COE team in delivering value added projects by developing and implementing Robotics Process Automation (RPA) workflows in individual business areas. The business Analyst is primarily responsible for the management of RPA projects for the team. This includes working with the subject matter expert to define the as-is process, identify the optimal to-be process within the RPA framework, and provide guidance to the RPA developers.
•Job location: Calgary, Alberta - In-Office (no hybrid)
•Shift schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day

Key Accountabilities:
•Manage the customer relationship between the COE and specific business areas, acting as a bridge between the technical teams and the business SME, including tasks such as:
+ Developing and maintaining technical specifications and documentation to be used by the RPA development team
+ Analyze large datasets utilizing advanced technical solutions (i.e. SQL)
+ Plan, assign, and monitor daily work assignments for the RPA Developers
+ Identify, analyze, and quantify RPA opportunities and benefits
•Troubleshoot and repair production issues for existing processes
•RPA development as required
Key Attributes:
•Understanding of IT as well as Operations, resulting in the ability to bridge the gap between Subject Matter Experts (SME) and RPA Developers
•Strong analytical skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing abilities
•General proficiency with SQL and database query tools such as Microsoft Access and/or SQL+
What You Bring to the Role:
•A Bachelor’s degree in the following disciplines is considered an asset:
+ Commerce with a focus on Business Analytics, Business Technology Management, or Operations Management, and/or
+ Software Engineering, Data Science or Computer Science
•Basic understanding of RPA software (UiPath) capabilities used for automation
